What results does ATR produce?
During the first quarter of 2021, Animal Tails Rescue (ATR) completed intakes for 216 cats and dogs. Of this total, 139 were canines, including adults and puppies. Of the 139 canines, 102 were puppies. Cat and kitten intakes totaled 77, joining the 6 felines who were housed at the rescue as of January 1. A strong partnership with PetSmart continues to enable adoptions of ATR cats and kittens who are healthy, vetted, and socialized. During Q1, 44 adoptions were completed through the PetSmart partnership.
2021 Q1 intake numbers show a Year Over Year (YOY) increase of 28 over 2020 Q1 canine intakes.
Animal Tails Rescue continues to develop and sustain active rescue partners both regionally and nationally who assist in ensuring successful adoptions for vetted and healthy puppies and adult dogs. ATR is staffed solely by volunteers and no funds are expended on salaries. All funds received by ATR go toward vetting costs, operational costs, and animal transport. ATR appreciates our dedicated volunteers, partners, and those who donate funds and material supports to assist in the care of Crenshaw County’s stray, abused, and neglected animals.
